Thank-you Renee Jewett from the Seaborg Center for helping us make the day go smoothly. And finally, thank you to all of our speakers and vendors that helped create such an Interesting and fulfilling day.
The 1st All UP Beekeeping Conference is over and by all appearances it was a "big hit" among our UP beekeepers. Approximately 170 people attended the Saturday sessions which was kicked off by our inspirational speaker Charotte Hubbard. Break out sessions on beginning beekeeping, mite control, making mead, queen rearing, and many others. The wind and a beautiful 10" of snow didn't phase the hardy spirit of our beekeepers. From all parts of the UP, northern lower Michigan, and northern Wisconsin they came.
