The bees came early (April 5) - they have never been on time in my years of beekeeping but this is the first that they were early. All of us have been scrambling to get equipment around and slip them into a hive between snowflakes. We have had over 25 inches since last Thursday.
- The Superior Beekeeping club met at the Ore Dock Monday evening. The talk was all about "cold weather' hiving. Lots of good ideas contributed.
- I did a session about bees Tuesday evening for the Life Long Learning group. What a nice group of people that I hope will continue/become bee advocates.
*The new Newberry Area group has its 1st meeting April 14th at the Tahquamenon Public Library at 6:00 P.M. in Newberry.
*Will experiment with an indoor hiving of a package. Because they can't get out and fly anyway, then I will just hold them in my semi-heated shop. Will let you know the results later.
