**The New Year has arrived just in time for winter. After a slow start, we are finally beginning to see some snow, although nothing like a "normal" year. Next week will bring our first truly arctic air and without the big snow cover for insulation, I worry--I always worry.
** We will be doing a couple of intro classes "Bee Keeping 101" sessions on Jan.23rd 10:30-1:00 and Jan 26th 6:00-8:30. Both are at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. They are free of charge, just come to the one that is most convenient for you. Details on the club page.
**Time to get recharged with reading materials. There are many good articles in the major beekeeping magazines--Bee Culture and The American Bee Journal. We will have an article in BC next month about our Hive House.
** I have been working on a poem/video project in the past couple of weeks. Hopefully it will help re-enforce what beekeepers do, encourage new beekeepers, and help non beekeepers understand the "bee and beekeepers world. More to follow down the road.
