David Payant, assisted by wife Susan, demonstrated a "sugar roll" mite check (only 1 suspected mite). David then did a methodical march through the hive--worker brood, drone brood, eggs, larva, queen cups, crazy comb building, and many busy bees. Thank-you!
A great potluck--lots of good food and wonderful variety. Mead was liberally shared and "wanderings" to the Hive House, outdoor kitchen, log cabin, the renovation at the "born" cabin, and the mill were taken.
Music was provided by "Bedrooms and Basements"--Taylor and Sam did a very nice job.
All in all a nice gathering of about 50 "crazy and passionate" beekeepers!!
