** Keep feeding your bees until you can't. I will put mine to "bed" for the winter during the 1st week of November-unless summer returns.
*** We had an unusual club extraction thes year. Ninety degrees in the shop and 87 outside. The air was thick with bees looking for the honey they could smell. A great time but really HOT.
**** There is still time to register for the fall MBA Conference in Kalamazoo, Mi.
*****Remember that we are deep in the planning for an all UP Bee Conference March 31, 2018 at Northern Michigan University here in Marquette. You can follow the progress at upbeekeepingconference.weebly.com
****** Go to the Bee Videos on this site to see how to make a winter sugar board and one about some ideas about overwintering your hive. The keys to seeing bees in the spring is mite control, good hive ventilation, and plenty of food.
*******Just did that other fall "sweet thing"--we pressed 45 gallons of cider. For those of you interested, my daughter Natasha did a video of our process.
