* Several local beekeepers met with the Marquette City Planning Commission Thursday. We are fortunate that they want to do right by the bees and have made themselves knowledgeable about the importance of our pollinators.The ordinance making process is nearing the completion phase and I appreciate that the members have done their homework--on to the City Council for final action.
** Remember to give your bees a bit of extra ventilation in the next couple of days. I use a UP time proven high tech solution--a stick to prop the top.

rnoon, my daughter and I captured a swarm. It was virtually on the ground--landed on raspberry bushes and they collapsed--what an easy catch. Am "trying" to piece together a video and will post when done. Don't know where this big healthy swarm came from but--Thank you!!
