SUMMER MEETING

A good turnout Tues. Aug. 27th for the hive inspection and extraction preparation. About 40 people turned out for the hot and humid evening.

Experiences shared by all confirm that a least in this area, 2-3 weeks of cold and wet July weather has had a negative impact on honey making. The bees seem to just be holding their own but hopefully the goldenrod bloom will help out - weather permitting.

For those interested in extracting here with the group, it looks like the week of September 16 probably the 19th. Details to follow.
