JULY NOTES

* Where is the summer going?? It seems to be just flying by. The bees have generally had a good year, but a few to many "no fly" days to be great. It appears that we have  ten days of good bee weather coming up.

** Although there have been a few swarms reported, SO FAR, the numbers are down from the last couple of years. I have been expecting some of mine to swarm but nothing yet. My main problem has been getting enough brood out of my Hive House nucs and get them distributed to other hives.

*** We have been spending alot of time working to restore the old cabin (1870's).Many of you have seen this before we started the process--it has come a long way in a short time. It has been a challenging job as there is alot of "sag and droop" everywhere. We recently had visitors from Minnesota that had discovered that their Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother, built this cabin and raised 18 children in it--Wow! At some point, I will put together a historical video of its life and times. Until then some pictures of some of the redo.
