The bees that were hived on April 15th are looking strong. They have about 3 frames of brood and are drawing comb. The April 24th hived packages are up and going also - about 1 1/2 - 2 frames of brood. Most of these bees are being fed honey and sugar syrup. I will replenish the syrup when we hit warm weather - TUES???
Maple trees and pussy willows are providing the current pollen for our hives. I did see a dandelion in Marquette a couple of days ago.
Remember to keep feeding and take the time to watch the bees come in with their payloads of pollen.
