If you haven't kept track of your area wild flowers, you can print a list from this site. It would be interesting to compare notes on area micro-climate bloom times. Remember that this is only a good beginning of a listing. I already have a few more to soon add.
At this time, the bees are really bringing in the pollen and using up sugar syrup. Comb building and brood raising are proceeding rapidly. Keep an eye on frames in your initial brood box/deep/2 medians. When 5-7 frames are filled with brood, pollen, and sugar water/nectar it is time to add another brood box.
Tentatively the Superior Beekeeping Club will host a June 6th hive visit. A basic what to look for in a hive at this time of year. It will take place here at my hives. More coming from Michelle.
